It is more about the entertainment than the meal, honestly. There are areas where everything is designed to be a spectacle, where I am from. This place is a little similar to a city called Las Vegas in that regard...
[ owner has never been
he looks around. ]
Do you think we could get to where guests aren't allowed?
[ (maybe there are enough weirdos in this place they look normal...)
the waitstaff seems quite busy at all times, and he also tries to follow the trail of empty platters zooming by... presumably being returned to some sort of kitchen. ]
...That way, I think.
[ he gestures over in the direction of the service doors. ]
Mm, wherever they are on this ship... I do wonder how large it is in reality.
[ this shit is so big.
okay, so. someone walks through the door, and owner will tug at diluc so they can hurry inside before it shuts. may be less suspicious if it isn't opening twice in a row. ]
Perhaps large enough to encompass entire planets. ...Do you think this could be a simulation?
[ there are brainwave projection devices on this very station, so. it's not unthinkable...
anyway. through the doors they go! down the hall to the kitchen... the workers here seem to busy to notice them, though diluc remains wary anyway, ready to hide, escape, or confront at a moment's notice. his hand is still braced lightly on owner's back.
It is a lot of training and structure. You optimize everything to get things out as quickly as you can without sacrificing quality... or, at least, you should not sacrifice it.
[ this is his inn owner voice. sometimes you also work in hospitality.
he pauses, and points a little ahead of them. some old looking door to walk-in freezer ]
owner will shuffle in though because this is the kind of place where you would like, store bodies and stuff. there's an odd uneasy feeling, but that has sort of been there for a bit. ]
[ yeah it's always a little unsettling to just see. giant pieces of meat hanging around? diluc wanders in between the slabs, careful not to lose sight of owner in the process (it might be difficult to walk side by side without getting smacked with meat, who knows).
...he then he thinks he spots something, and blinks hard. ]
...Did you see that...?
[ for a moment one of the slabs of meat ahead seemed to change color...? ]
[ at first he thinks that diluc means someone else is with them, but he will walk over to where diluc is, not noticing the slab he was just looking at changing.

...Our chances aren't bad. As you say, this is quite the spectacle—as long as we don't make any sudden movements, I'm sure we can escape notice.

[ neither of them look like they do.
but first would be try to figure out where employees are coming and going from... owner has to awkwardly walk around a performing doing splits... ]

On the cold planet we were at before, there were pieces of uniform of employees from the company scattered. It does make me wonder.

This is... meat?

... let's keep looking.

That looks a little out of place.

[ owner is too far to see exactly what diluc caught, but he starts walking over to him at the question.
and he pauses. tilts his head. ]
You mean over here?
[ he is not looking at the same spot diluc was, but he sounds as uncertain. ]

[ something else changes, from the peripheral of his vision.
he turns towards it, and his eyes widen a bit, before they narrow. ]
...That looks like...
[ Eunhyuk. (sorry yaywon, rng picked u from my listo.) it's just a faint likeness for now, though the more he focuses the clearer (and worse) it gets.
he frowns, and takes a step closer to investigate, as much as he'd rather like to just LEAVE instead. ]
Are you seeing him as well, Owner...?

he will pause midstep once he gets a look. ]
That is rather grim.
