[Sora does look at the weapons up close! Nothing about her seems to hint she's knowledgeable in the slightest, though. She's staring at the weapons with the same gaze you'd have when checking, I don't know, pottery in a museum. This isn't a warrior surveying anything]
I can think of some who will be glad this room exists. [She turns her head towards Owner] Will you be among those, Mr. Owner?
That is true. There's something nice in seeing how people who know what they're doing do.
[Instead of amateurs who just would wag swords around to try to intimidate the opponent, like something out of a bad martial arts movie]
Tools to learn self-defense may be useful, but without someone to teach they're likelier to get injured while trying to learn.
[She doubts self-defense and fighting are the kind of thing you can learn by yourself. Nodd is the only one she has seen who perhaps would be willing to teach others, but it's not like Nodd can handle teaching thirty-something people!
Well, there's also Blade but Sora can't really imagine Blade being all that eager to teach self-defense]
owner is walking down the hall, his familiar blanket wrapped around him. he's looking intently at his i.r.i.s. as he goes, putting his hand down when he spots sora. ]
[Sora still is reading the final thoughts of the deceased, her face somewhat melancholic, just walking while she reads. Hearing someone, she looks up]
Good morning, Mr. Owner.
[She turns off the I.R.I.S]
No rest for the wicked, is there?
[Two dead. Our work never ceases -- and unlike Luke, it's very unlikely either of the victims died from natural causes, unless it turns out, like, Sidon didn't get in the showers and dehydrated. Fish raisin.
But since that's unlikely...seems like the trial will be quite tiring]
I'm not one to soften anything if the other person can take it.
[Sora routinely takes a more indulgent tone with teens and kids, but with the adults she generally doesn't hold back. She's generally a kind person, but her harsh streak is rather unpleasant]
We did solve it, but it's hard to feel alright about it when in the end we didn't get the result we agreed to in the first place.
[Yeah, the situations at home make Sora low-key have some controlling behaviors, so the loss of agency in the trial results is really frustrating. A tie, of all things...what a bad joke]
[Sora had braced herself for something she shouldn't care and be privy about. Instead, it turned out to be...quite interesting, much to her surprise. She watches until the end, and then when it ends...
...her immediate comment is one of rebuttal]
People manage surprisingly okay when losing what they are attached to? That's simply not true. Not...in the slightest.
[Her tone is as if she had just said a fact that has no room for argument at all. It just doesn't work like that, people don't just move on]
Oh, maybe not at first. But eventually you do get out of bed, and manage to go back to work. You start talking to those around you again, and might decide to have a nice day to yourself, and soon you realize you are living a life again.
That is not to say they won't still miss whoever was lost. But you keep going forward.
[She murmurs that, and the next thing she says sounds a little different. Flatter, a little vacant]
I knew of someone. Someone who lost the love of their life. Someone steeped in despair and woe, going against the natural order of the world for the sake of reviving their lost one.
They made a pact with a Daemon. A Monark with which they worked with, trying to revive what was lost -- but not even a Monark can do such things with ease. So instead, this person chose to submerge themselves into a blissful existence. They got their Monark to become that person.
This went on for decades. Can such a person move on, Mr. Owner?
[It doesn't sound like she's bringing up a hypothetical scenario]
owner is currently in the middle of going around the graveyard locations, poking his head into places to see what's there. sometimes you are distracted by trial all day. ]
That's...a word for it, yes. Anything you have heard before about the Helly Belly doesn't do justice to how this place is actually like, no?
[Hi, Owner. Enjoy the bizarre sights. To Sora it was more intriguing than unnerving, but that was because she comes from an eldritch plane of existence already. The Helly Belly wasn’t tremendously weird, in her opinion]
[ well! a little bit after they learn that no one is dead and this might be a regular friday, owner is seated at the dripping debussy. it's a pretty location despite the name. ]
It was unexpected, truly. Do you think they really are going to live? Or could this just be the prelude to something happening on Saturday?
[Sora is...near some of the vine plants hanging around in this place, observing them with distrust. She was already victimized by vines earlier in the week and she doesn't want it to happen again]
[ owner has had the worst time in the world with vines in this murdergame but after a certain point he is just like. yea whatever. let there be plants, sure.
he presses some of the piano keys. ]
It is hard to say. But I do not think whatever this creature is will be pleased.
Isn't that how it's like for all cults? It seems welcoming at first. Then, when you have lowered your guard, you're dragged into the darkest sides of it. Before you know it you have fallen so deep you can't get out.
[Grim!
But it would sound so much more convincing if Sora wasn't standing at a resort that looks so awesome and relaxing. She's staring towards one of the myco lifeforms of the planet, inwardly pondering if her real self looks similar to it]

That armory truly was bad news. Perhaps that should be a starting point, to narrow down the weapon as soon as possible.
[She's absolutely convinced any weapon used last night must have come from there. Where else but from the literal weapon trove?]

I'll have to ask this straightforward: does the result bring you some kind of satisfaction?
[...even though Sora has that slight smile, she seems very tense. She's not fond of how things turned out, at all]
I know it's a harsh question, but I do have to wonder if someone in this ship is glad about any of this.
